20 Chairs + 20 Artists = FUN

It’s not often that we are involved in a community event from conception thru completion. We are thrilled to share this experience with Bridge Communities and A Chair Affair reception & auction. This unique event presents original artwork through the transformation of chairs, stools & benches. From May 27 to June 11 the stores in downtown Naperville are displaying  these 20 creative art-chairs. You can view our chair in Finishes window located at 208 S. Washington. We invite you to join us on June 12th for an exciting evening of delicious food and cocktails, a silent auction, and high energy live auction of the Top 10 People’s Choice. Our chair, At the Adult’s Table is the creation of our artists Karen Rodi & Debra Lellbach. With childhood memories of wanting to sit at the “adult table” serving as their muse, the transformation of the chair began. Understated & sophisticated with a touch of bling, this chair is ready any family celebration. Voting for the Top 10 People’s Choice is taking place now thru June 11th. Cast your online vote today & help us be part of the Top 10 People’s Choice live auction. Vote today –Click Here We can’t wait to see which smart adult will take home “At the Adult’s Table” for their next family celebrations! Hope to see you there! All proceeds benefit Bridge Communities, an organization that provides services for homeless families in our area. Fresh Digs for Spring!

Fresh Digs for Spring!

Ready for the next phase of their lives, Deb & Joel left  their family home in Naperville behind for the ease of condo living. They happily traded their roomy 5 bedroom home for a spacious condo with a great room and 2 bedrooms.  After initial consulting & space planning , the unanimous decision was made to design a Great Room for living, fresh with a remodeled kitchen.     The existing Great Room had “Great Bones” with wood floors, custom moldings & custom window treatments. The kitchen was basic builder’s cabinets, designed without maximizing the potential of the kitchen.   A beautiful painting of tiger, “The Whole Road” served as a “Muse” for the color scheme and design of the Great Room. The transitional, clean lined cabinets finished in a warm carmel color contrasting with an expresso finish on the island anchored the kitchen in the space. The Cambria warm counter tops and glass mosiacs pull the materials together.   Upper cabinets with lighting create display for treasured art pieces. Expresso finish on the  island and crown anchor the dry bar area to the kitchen. The contrasting expresso finish on the island, crown and dry bar adds a distinctive contrast in the color scheme. The two tier bar counters hides the prep and clean up area from view of the great room.  The island redesign maintained the existing plumbing, while enhancing storage and funtion. Maintaining separate function while not overpowering the room, Deb & Joel’s kitchen remodel is a success. Ready for Easter in their new digs, Deb & Joel are taking delight in hiding their grandkids Easter Eggs in new spots! Sounds like fun to us! Don’t you...

Style Kick Up for Naperville Master Bath

Stepping into comfort & relaxation anytime of the day is easy!   Walk in & discover how easy it is to “Kick it Up”….   Many of our clients our shifting gears and changing their home addresses. Consequently, these moves often require kicking up some of the existing conditions and claiming the home as “theirs”.   This Naperville Master Bath had some recent updates that laid the groundwork for a “spa” like space. The oversized stone shower, step in claw foot tub, double sinks and private toilet room shaped a functional retreat. Our client’s goal was to add their personal style and enhance the luxury of the bath….creating a true spa retreat. Incorporating the existing Carrara marble floor, stone shower & lighting, current trends of classic white glazed cabinets, Calacatta Gold marble counters and an air jet tub updated the existing framework with a touch of luxury. Simple plate glass mirrors keep the space light while adding visual dimension. The existing chrome light fixures add just the right balance of style and sparkle.  The smoke blue and white large scale wallpaper maintains a classic, cool feel with a punch of energy. Maintaining the integrity of the elements that are functional and remodeling tired materials to reflect current trends, provides you an easy path to create a retreat for your home. Hope you find inspiration in this Master Bath remodel and get started...
