When you make the move into a new home, there’s always something you love. The yard, the basement, the master bedroom with a window overlooking a pond…. Whatever the case may be, it won you over somehow. But more often than not, even though you love the pieces, you may not love the whole. One Naperville couple found themselves in just this situation. The house they found had great bones, and they saw the potential, but a few things had to change right away. Case in point: the dated kitchen. This kitchen remodel “before and after” will definitely leave you inspired.
The old kitchen definitely made a statement. It featured dark cabinets, outdated appliances, a yellow counter top, and a small island. It also had vinyl flooring, complete with a dark texture. Last but not least, was the sparse lighting. While it may have once been ideal, it was definitely overdue for an overhaul. The Lellbach team went to work. With an expert design plan in mind, they tore this kitchen down to the studs, and rebuilt it from the ground up.
First up was a new layout. More space for food prep, with a focus on small gatherings of family and friends. Then came the white cabinets, Caesarstone counter tops, and black metal hardware. Replacing the dated wood and old countertops, they increased both the storage and cooking space. Stainless steel appliances were strategically placed in just the right locations. A stunning custom built live edge walnut island top, with centered lights, creates a focal point for the space.
A unique greige blended stain finish on the white oak floor sets a neutral tone in the space. Recessed lighting in a variety of locations provides just the perfect light for any task or get together. The finishing touch? A new sitting area away from the hustle and bustle, just perfect for a morning cup of coffee. Kitchen remodeling efforts for this project definitely took this space from “uh oh,” to “wow.”
This kitchen remodel “before and after” was a Lellbach Builders favorite. The old kitchen is nowhere to be found, and in its place is a wonderful new inviting space!
