Baby “T” was on his way, and Frankie and Patrick’s one bedroom apartment was quickly shrinking. Inspired to move quickly, they soon found the perfect forever home. The upsides? A central location close to town and family and a large yard with room for a (someday) room addition. The icing on the cake was a wood swing set out back. The house was everything they wanted! But their new home needed some updates. Lellbach Builders stepped in on this kitchen remodel in Naperville to provide the perfect new space for their family.

Knowing how much life would change with the baby’s arrival, the kitchen and living space became priority #1. With the desire for an open concept kitchen, the remodel began. Envisioning the space without the existing kitchen, the new floor plan created a spacious, efficient kitchen, which interacts comfortably with the living space. Whether it’s daily living and cooking, family time, or entertaining, there’s plenty of elbow room. The design aesthetic invites warmth and relaxation, while the understated material and finishes offer the perfect mix of style and graceful comfort.

They were able to keep the existing Brazilian cherry floor by patching areas impacted by the new floor plan. A new, smooth concrete finish, added a mid-century vibe to the existing brick face fireplace.  Neutral black paint transformed the existing mantle and fireplace doors into stylish accessories. Timeless white kitchen cabinets with a navy island and carrera marble quartz counters anchor this heart of the home. Black hardware and lighting add a refined touch throughout the spaces.

Much to everyone’s delight, this kitchen remodel in Naperville was finished just in time for baby “T’s” arrival!

With plenty of extra space, Mom, Dad and baby “T” are nesting comfortably in their new home.
